The Tall Ships Races                                                                                                                                                             Kristiansand, Norway. 30th-31st July 20025

The Tall Ships Races, an annual series of long-distance sailing challenges organized by Sail Training International, are dedicated to promoting international friendship and youth development through traditional sailing. Featuring multiple competitive legs and a "sail in company" phase, the event is a vibrant hub of social, cultural, and sporting activity in every host port it visits.

During my recent tour through Norway, I accidentally came across this spectacular event while visiting Kristiansand. Amidst the hum of the lively harbor, I experienced a moment of profound synchronicity: anchored there, seemingly waiting for me, was an Argentinian tall ship. This vessel, which had often harbored in my distant hometown, instantly forged a link between my past and my present travels. This striking, unplanned moment of liminal connection—where the world felt small and personally aligned—demanded to be captured. That discovery became the impetus and the photographic cornerstone for this entire series.
